Someone please neuter Newdow...

Well after another hiatus I am back again. Actually I was visiting South Georgia, interviewing for a job.

Will someone please take a 2x4 and knock this Newdow guy across the head. He just doesn't seem to get it.

The lawsuit also states: "It is an offense of the highest magnitude that the leader of our nation, while swearing to uphold the Constitution, publicly violates that very document upon taking his oath of office." Mr. Newdow also said yesterday he sought "only the respect and equal protection that the Constitution requires from our government."

Come on Newdow. Nowhere in the 1st amendment (which is what he is refering too) does it say you cannot pray in public at the inauguration. I still have not figured out where he gets the Seperation of Church and State in the 1st amendment.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Will someone please tell me where it says anything about the Seperation of Church and state in the 1st amendment.
The first line means that Congress cannot pass a law preventing the establishment of any religion, or a law preventing the exercise of religion. This mis-interpretation drives me crazy.
If Newdow doesn't want to live in a Christian Nation, Then MOVE!!!! We are a nation founded on Christian principles. If you don't want to say "under God" during the pledge, the MOVE!!! If you don't like "In God We Trust" on our money, then MOVE!!! If you don't like the fact that a preacher says a prayer before the Presidential Inauguration, then MOVE!!! Don't try to take away our Christian rights, which is exactly what this guy is trying to do.

"I have never sued to have anyone keep his or her hand off of a Bible," Mr. Newdow said in response to yesterday's story published in The Washington Times regarding his lawsuit. "As my prayer for relief and judgment specifies, I sought only the prohibition of using clergymen to further religion."

Does this pastor who is going to pray have great powers. Are we going to see an outpouring of saved people at the inauguration. I think not. He is only going to ask for Gods guidance and blessing upon the administration. It is not like there is going to be an invitation at the end, with everyone sing "Just as I am".

What makes this Newdow guy seem even more whacko, is the fact that he used the word prayer in one of his statements, as if it were his own. "My prayer for relief and judgment specifies," Does this guy even know what he said. The word prayer according to Webster means; A reverent petition made to God, a god, or another object of worship. Since this guy is athiest, how can he make a petition to anything higher than himself. If you tell me that is not what he meant, then tell him to use words in sentences to reflect his own belief, not one of religion.

Who said you can't win if you keep Recounting...

This story has not gotten too much attention since the Tsunami disaster. The Dems have finally found a way to win. Just recount until you the results you want. Here's the headline from the Billings Gazette, take a look at what the new Democratic Govenor-elect, Christine Gregoire had to say.

Gregoire congratulated Rossi for running a strong campaign, and said it was up to him to decide when and where to concede. But she ruled out a brand new election.

"Do-overs" occur only in golf, and only during practice, she said. "This is not golf and this is not practice."

What a total contrast to how she was feeling a few weeks ago. I guess in her eyes she's the only one allow to take a Mulligan. What a Joke. It was actually done-over until she got the victory. I would be on the PGA Tour if I was allowed three shots on every stroke. Look out Tiger! It is just like playing poker, if you do it long enough, you'll get the result you want, especially if you cheat. Keep reading.

After the election, more than 700 ballots surfaced in King County, which includes Seattle. The additional votes allowed Gregoire to stretch her lead from just 10 votes in the hand recount to her triple-digit advantage. A legal challenge would have to be filed by Jan. 22, 10 days after Gregoire's scheduled inauguration.

On Thursday, the day after King County released a list of nearly 900,000 voters who cast ballots Nov. 2, Republicans prodded county officials to explain why the list appeared to have about 3,500 fewer names than the number of votes that were actually tallied.

Either there were some aces up the sleeve or it must be magic! Now we're pulling ballots out the hat, I guess the Rabbit is out of a job. I'll say it again, "What a Joke"! Sounds like the 2000 Presidential election to me. To bad the Dems did not have 58 days to unemploy the Rabbit in 2000, which is exactly where it was going. Thank God for the Supreme Court.
I hope Rossi never concedes, and takes it to the highest court.

My 'Terminal' Adventure...

My terminal experience was not near as bad as some travelers, but it is still worth talking about. I have traveled (flew) home from the Midwest to the South a couple of times during the Christmas holidays and each time the same result. I arrive in Memphis, Tennessee and drive three hours to my final destination. This Christmas it all started on December 23. I checked my flight before I left my home, only because of the ice storm that was going through the South. Everything was a go. I printed my tickets before I left and tried to assign myself a seat. I arrived at the airport and did the auto check-in. I was thinking this is going to smooth. About 20 minutes before my flight, it was announced that the flight would be delayed about a half-hour. No big deal, I had a 2 hour lay-over in Memphis. Six hours later I was boarding the plane, with my rescheduled flight set to depart Memphis at 7:25 and arrive home at 8:30., so much for going smooth.
Meanwhile my wife and kids were driving down for the holidays, because of their plan to stay on until school resumed. I had to get back and go back to work. Someone has to do it, right. Anyway my wife had left the previous day, and got stranded approximately 3 hours from Memphis. To my luck they were only 1 hour away when I arrived in Memphis. So I just waited for them to pick me up and we drove the rest of the way. So what was suppose to be a 4 hour flight, turned out to be a 16 hour day.
Well you would think my return flight would maybe turn out a little better, Nope.
I left around noontime on my return flight. Everything seemed to be going well because we only left 15 minutes late. I arrived in Memphis around 1:00, with my scheduled flight to leave at 2:30. Guess what, 6 hours later we were boarding the plane. I heard enough of we're delayed for crew rest, or there is a mechanical problem, or there is equipment blocking the path of the plane, to last me a while.
The airline industry in whole was not prepared for the weather (which during the Winter months bad weather can be expected), or Christmas travelers (Comes the same time every year). My frustration with everything is this, If the company I work for short staffed and did not have contingency plans for unexpected conditions, it would go out of business. The airline industry seems to take the customer for granted. Don't get me wrong, I met some really nice airline personnel, and the sad part they were taking all the heat for mis-management. The problem is they've got you. If you live any distance from relatives or travel on business, you are at their mercy. They either need to get rid of the Airline industry altogether or learn how treat their customer. They sure are willing to charge you a nice price for taking you where you want to go.
OK I have complained enough.
There is a positive to the story however, I was able to catch up on my reading. I finished Ann Coulters book 'How to talk to a Liberal if you must'. I will save that discussion for my next post. I also started reading Joseph Farahs book 'Take back America'. I would recommend both. Ann has a unique way of pointing out how Liberals say one thing and do another. Joseph has some unique insights on how the American people need to take back control of our country.

If you had a bad experience traveling this past holiday season, I want to hear about it. So we can wallow in our self-pity together.

Airport terminal living during the holidays...

I'm back. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday. I flew home for the holiday, and as most everyone knows it was not the best weekend to be flying the friendly skies.
Just wanted to make a quick post. More tomorrow on my 'Terminal' adventures. Although my troubles were not near the inconvenience that some travelers experienced. It is still worthy of a post.

The Philly 4 = The Fearsome 4?...

Christian persecution is not hard to find these days. I have been writing about it for several weeks. My posts have mostly revolved around the ACLU and their intolerance of Christians. Farahs newest commentary (Free the Freedom 4) focuses on a group in Philly that have been treated like hardened criminals, just for quoting the Bible. As Farah puts it, where is the ACLU, when Christians are in trouble and their free speech rights are being violated.

I'm amazed when seemingly intelligent people tell me they still think the American Civil Liberties Union is a group that fights for First Amendment freedoms no matter whose ox is being gored.

If that's the case, why is the ACLU not filing amicus briefs in Philadelphia where four Christians are facing 47 years in jail for expressing their free-speech rights?

That's 47 years just for expressing their free-speech rights. Here's what happened.

It all started Oct. 10, when a total of 11 members of Repent America attended a homosexual street festival called "Outfest."

The group, ranging in age from 17 to 72, was surrounded at times by the organizers' security force, known as the "Pink Angels."

Videotapes and still photos taken at the event show the Pink Angels blocking the path of the Repent America members, shouting at them, blowing whistles and so forth. The Christians remain peaceful and calm at all times, despite what appears to be extraordinary provocation, intimidation and harassment.

Guess who was arrested?

That's right. The Christians.

Now if this would have been a Christian festival and some Satanist group, pro-choice group, or gay rights group, would have been protesting, what do you think would have happened. Absolutely nothing! They would have been protected by free-speech rights, and if any charges would have been filed against them, then guess who would have been by their sides. The wonderful Anti Christian Liberals Union.

This is one of the most brazen, frontal attacks on religious freedom and free speech I have seen in my lifetime. If these charges stand, Christians across America will soon be hunted down like dogs as they are in many parts of the world today as the most persecuted religious group on the planet.

It's ironic that this persecution would take place in Philadelphia, the so-called "City of Brotherly Love."

Of course, Philadelphia wasn't always so inhospitable to Christians.

It's worth remembering the very first legislative act in Pennsylvania, April 25, 1682. It was called the Great Law of Pennsylvania and great it was.

"Whereas the glory of Almighty God and the good of mankind is the reason and the end of government, and, therefore government itself is a venerable ordinance of God ... [there shall be established] laws as shall best preserve true Christian and civil liberty, in opposition to all unchristian, licentious, and unjust practices, whereby God may have his due, and Caesar his due, and the people their due, from tyranny and oppression."

Oh how easily we forget over time. "God ... What about Noah...

I have never intended for this blog to be of the religious type, although I have made several references to Christianity and the anti's since I started writing about the ACLU. My last post had to do with Creation. I was inspired to write the post after reading an interesting response to one Joseph Farahs latest commentary's 'Why I believe in Creation'. Since writing the post, I have gotten a couple of comments from it and thought I would continue in this post talking about the accounts of Noahs flood. DH is a regular visitor to this site and if I am reading his comments correctly, an Atheist. I enjoy reading his responses, and even though I do not agree with him, he has some excellent points of view, and seems like a well educated individual. I want to thank him for taking the time to read this blog and to offer some insights on how non-Christians believe. Thanks DH.
He brings up some good points to my latest post, 'Do you believe in Creation?...'
I do not agree with his theories, and I will be the first to say, I am no expert on the subject. My belief in the accounts of Noah are based on faith. Faith that the almighty God, who has the ability to 'Create' just by speaking, can flood the earth and rebuild it from scratch. I have been doing some reading on the subject since DH left his comments, and I have found some very interesting sites, that back up Noahs account with scientific study.

DH referred to John Woodmorappe in his comments. Mr. Woodmorappe is a creationist that performed a seven year study on the feasibility of Noahs Ark. Here is an article Answering the Critics of Noahs Ark. It doesn't answer all the questions, but it definitely gives you more facts than I could give.

You know science is always trying to disprove creation and some of the accounts of Genesis. I mentioned this at the first of the post, but I thought I would mention it again just to put things in perspective.

Genesis 1 In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, 2the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters. 3Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.

The key words here, "Then God said,". If God can speak and Create (To cause to exist; bring into being.), then God can make anything happen, he has the control.

Do you believe in Creation?...

Farah wrote a commentary a couple of days ago entitled "Why I believe in Creation". I agree with Farahs take on it, but I believe he left out a few things. This is not about the article itself, (it is suggested reading), but about a response he received.

Farahs Biblical Fairy Tales
I read your column "Why I believe in Creation" today, and I was stunned at the ridiculous things it suggested. The misrepresentation of the facts present in your writing is frightening. Here's a few reasons why I feel this way:
The reason evolutionists don't argue with creationists is because we've learned that there is no point to it. Every creationist I've ever had the conversation will not give up any ground in the discussion, even when they are blatantly wrong.

That's like the pot calling the kettle black. I guess I'm just "Blatantly wrong". No reason to argue with me. He is right, I won't give any ground. I will say this loud and clear. We are not Monkeys. Well let me take that back. According to one of the cartoons below, the ACLU has a few.

Creationists cannot provide a shred of scientific evidence for their beliefs, other than the Bible a collection of documents that is known to have been subjected to editing, omissions and doctoring by numerous hands throughout time. The evidence for evolution is overwhelming, detailed, and virtually undisputed in the scientific community. It is a FACT. We have fossils, we have biological lineages, we have evidence.

For one, the Bible is a book that has stood the test of time. Undoubtedly enough of it has not been edited, omitted, or doctored enough. It still has plenty of critics that try to bash it and pick it apart. The only problem is, not matter how much the critics say it changes, it still gets the same results.

Second, I guess this guy never thought how fossils were formed to come to only one conclusion, that fossils have been formed over millions of years. There is some place in the Bible that talks about the earth being flooded. Can you imagine how quick that happened and how deep the water was. The water was suppose to have covered the earth completely. Mt. Everest is 29,035 ft. or 5.5 miles high. Now think about the pressure five miles deep in the ocean. I would say if you covered me with dirt and added 5.5 miles of water on top of me. It's probably fairly certain to say, I would leave a lasting impression. I wonder if we have ever carbon dated anything 5 miles deep in the ocean. Oh yeah, we can't go five miles deep, the pressure is to great. Just a Bible theory.

Christians can offer no such evidence for their fairy-tale stories the Bible gives us because they are stories not reality. They are charming little stories, granted, but so obviously untrue it's sad that any adult could believe them in the first place. Putting every animal on earth into a boat and floating around for 40 days while a big flood wiped all the evil creatures away? People walking on water, ghosts, virgins giving birth. These are all things that a rational and intelligent person knows are not possible or even realistic by any stretch of the imagination. Yet people talk themselves into believe it. It is astounding.

Let me put in perspective the size of Noahs Ark, which by the way took 100 years to build. It was 459x75x44 or 1.54 million cubic feet or the size of 522 railcars. I wouldn't want to wait for that train. Now I don't know how many animals you can fit in 522 railcars, but I would say a whole bunch. You know I think I am fairly rational and somewhat intelligent, and I don't have to stretch my imagination too far to believe it. I'll say this one more time. I am no Monkey!!!

The ACLU Religion?...you be the judge..

WorldNetDaily is always one of my favorite reads. As always Joseph Farah has some great insights on what is happening to our world as we know it. His latest commentary 'State Imposed Atheism' is a must read. The following is some points I believe to be true, but I will let you be the judge.

This isn't a conflict over whose view of the First Amendment is correct. It's a conflict in which one side is doing exactly what it accuses the other side of doing – using the government to impose its religion and morality on others.

Let me tell you, there is no threat – no threat at all – that Christians or Jews will, any time soon, successfully impose their own divided faiths on anyone else with the help of the local, state or federal government. It just can't happen, not in the 21st-century, American socio-political climate.

And the ACLU knows this.

The ACLU and its allies actually don't mind their own belief system, their own "faith," their own religion being imposed through the government school systems. They don't mind that values and scientific theories in stark contrast to those of many Christians and Jews be endorsed by the state as holy writ. They don't mind that taxpayer treasuries are raided by judicial tyrants to support unconstitutional programs that violate the firmly held religious beliefs of tens of millions of Bible believers.

What is secular humanism?

It is a religion, as the U.S. Supreme Court rightly confirmed many years ago, that puts man at the center of the universe. How do you put man in the center of the universe? By indoctrinating children for seven hours a day that God is irrelevant to their lives, by attacking any expression of Christian or Jewish faith in the public square, by pitting one faith against another and by marginalizing and persecuting believers in God.

They are radically transforming America from a Godly country to a humanist country.

That's what they mean by "separation of church and state." It's a purely divisive agenda render faithful Jews and Christians impotent, to separate them from the rest of society. As I have pointed out before, that's the real meaning of "separation of church and state."

You know, I never thought of it that way. Farah makes some excellent points. It kinda puts things in perspective. Make sure you read the full commentary, I have only captured part of what Farah is trying to say. You be the judge and sound off.

Christmas Homeland Security...

I thought this was pretty cool. It is a perfect example of what is happening this holiday season.

I found this letter to the editor in 'The Illinois Leader'. It talks about the anti-Christian ACLU.

For those card carrying ACLU members, I have some reading material for you:
“No purpose of action against religion can be imputed to any legislation, State or national, because this is a religious people…this is a Christian nation.
From the discovery of this continent to the present hour, there is a single voice making this affirmation.
The commission to Christopher Columbus…that “it is hoped that by God’s assistance some of the continents and islands in the ocean will be discovered,”etc.
The first colonial grant---that made to Sir Walter Raleigh in 1584---…and the grant authorizing him to enact statutes for the government of the proposed colony provided that “they be not against the true Christian faith…”
The first charter of Virginia, granted by King James I in 1606…commenced the grant in these words: ”…in propagating of Christian Religion to such People as yet live in Darkness…”
Language of similar import may be found in…the various charters granted to the other colonies.
In language more or less emphatic is the establish of the Christian religion declared to be one of the purposes of the grant.
The celebrated compact made by the Pilgrims in the Mayflower, 1620, recites: ”Having undertaken for the Glory of God, and advancement of the Christian faith…a voyage to plant the first colony in the northern parts…”

The Church of the Boy Scouts of America....

When I found this I wasn't sure if this guy was serious or not. I had to read it several times before I came to the conclusion, this guy really believes this. Tell me what you think after you read it. I found this in Letters to the Editor at the Albany Democrat-Herald. .

Saved by ACLU; thank God!
Thank God for the ACLU. They have come to the rescue again. We all know that the military has been used for the last 40 years to accomplish social change by integration of races and sexes.
However, there is a darker side. The military has been quietly establishing a state religion — the Church of the Boy Scouts of America. This is particularly insidious because they have no theological doctrine other than a belief that there is a being in the universe that is superior to humans.
With the weight of the military behind them, we could all be forced to become members. They we could all be required to Do a Good Turn Daily, and be Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent.
We may even need to help elderly women across the street.
A dangerous organization indeed!
Fortunately, the ACLU is ever vigilant. They have stopped the military in their tracks, and it will no longer support this evil plan.
The ACLU has already recognized the plot to use the schools to establish the Boy Scouts of America as our state religion and has been effective in stopping that plot.
How grateful we are for the ACLU's making America a better and safer place to live.

The military is the group that is going to establish the State religion. Man I did not see that coming. To think I was a Boy Scout about 30 years ago and they did not inform me of this. I was tricked into joining their religion, now I'm a member, oh no, save me ACLU, I have been had.

I guess no sex before marriage is bad. Abstinence promotes religion. Man, I thought we could get this one by them.

Louisiana is rejecting a complaint by the American Civil Liberties Union that the state's website promoting premarital, sexual abstinence violates the Constitution because of its religious references.

Now if you come back and say that the website is promoting religion, then tell me where, other than in faith based circles, is Abstinence promoted? How can you promote abstinence without the presence of religion. The Secularist promote, 'If it feels good, do it!!!' I don't know why they are worried about this website, it's the 'Church of the Boy Scouts of America' they should be worried about. (Big smile on my face.)

Did you know if you put up a tree in your house this year and decorated with lights and a star on top, it is now a 'Community' tree. Read this ridiculous retraction by the 'Wichita Eagle'.

'A Christmas Carol' a Dickens classic, now too religious for school.

A high school principal canceled a dramatic performance of Charles Dickens classic "A Christmas Carol," partly because he feared it would raise questions about the place of religion in public schools.

Is this a principal with another agenda?

How can 90% be wrong?...

Been kinda a crazy week. First, this wonderful piece of technology we call a computer, has been on a stupid streak. Not on its own mind you, it has had help from those wonderful spyware programs, that will now find a brilliant way to infect your computer. If I have reboot once, I have rebooted a million (just a little exagerated) times. Second, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, 'nuf said. Third, homework, homework, homework, homework, homework, 'nuf said. The one positive, is during the times the computer was tied up doing homework, I was able to do some reading. Of course I only read those brainwashing, right leaning, books and articles. Read about the 1st amendment, and how the mis-interpretation has been shoved down our throats. The only problem is, we are starting to vomit it back up. We have had enough. I have read about the manipulation of the media, and how Mrs. 'I'll be a Christian, if I need too' Clinton, tried to stifle the new media. The biggest problem she had was the big 'WWW'. She couldn't get her hands around it, and once that happened the truth started getting to the American people. I'll bring more specifics later in the week.

I hope everyone had a chance to watch 'Hannity and Colmes' tonight. It was a special program entitled 'Taking back America'. They talked about the 'Declaration', our Founding Fathers, and the reference of God. It was a good program, that should have shown the viewer just what we are up against. About the last 15 minutes of the program they took questions from the audience, and the very first lady that had the microphone, asked the perfect question

"Why should the 90% of us that believe in God, change to suit the 10% who don't"

What a great question. Since the school prayer decision in 1962, the 10% have been trying to take all references of God out of everything. To be honest, they have been fairly successful for a while. I know what some are going to say, 'They have been trying to protect the 1st amendment'. To that I say 'BOLOGNA'. They have been trying to make Christians a minority. Well from what I am seeing, 'YOU FAILED'. (tongue stuck out at the 10%) The American people seem to have awakened from their 'Rip Van Winkle' Slumber. My whole belief on this matter is:

"When God stops pouring out his blessings on this country, we are doomed"

Merry Christm...Opps, I meant Happy Whatever...

WARNING: The following is only a possibility in the future, it is not yet real.

Since the ACLU and their buddies are trying to get rid of the word Christmas, Christmas Carols and anything Religious in public this holiday season, why not develop another event. The annual December 25th ACLU worship ourselves day. It could include one day where everything the ACLU supports could be legal. What do you think, it could include such wonderful things as, Child Pornography, what about tax exemptions for Satanists, or even Legalized Prostitution. Don't forget my favorite, Legalized Drugs, oh what a glorious day it would be. You could get up on Christm..ACLU morning, and find under the tree that nice hash pipe you been wanting. Maybe even a gift certificate to that wonderful place down on main-street, 'Ms. Sleazebags place of fulfilment'. We could sing the following er..carols. 'Oh come all ye faithless', 'Silent Deadly Night'. Don't forget everyones down home favorite, 'Oh little town of Sodom and Gomorrah'.

You know if things keep going the way they are going and the ACLU and buddies keep getting their way, this day could be a possible reality. We will have to pray, worship and sing praises in a cold dark hidden room. Please don't let this happen. Our Children do not deserve this. Please read my post entitled, ACLU (The Great Deceiver)... and take action. Christmas will not be protected for future generations if we do not do something. Please take action.

This following story : 'Christmastime event is a no-Christian zone'

is just one small example of what is happening this Christmas.

In the latest skirmish over Christmas in America, a Christian group is not allowed to participate in Denver's annual Parade of Lights, because church members sought to sing yuletide hymns and proclaim a "Merry Christmas" message on their float.

Yet it will include the following.

However, the event, now in its 30th year, will include homosexual American Indians, Kung Fu artisans, belly dancers and, of course, Santa Claus.

Can't forget them belly dancers!!!

The members of the Christian group do have a plan.

"members of his church will be walking the parade route an hour before it starts."
"We're going to sing Christmas carols to people on the street," he told WND. "We're not promoting a boycott."

The group has decided not to get this into court or to boycott. I commend them for their effort and the sacrifice they are making by walking the parade route an hour before it starts and singing carols. They only thing I disagree with them on is, I would boycott, I would protest, and I would take it to the highest court. I would make this a front page story, for all the world to see. We are in a battle and we need to fight.

Some of my most recent readings have included the study of the phrase 'Separation of Church and State', and how the 1st amendment has been twisted to bring us to this point in history. My future posts will include some extensive discussion on how this all started, and how some activist judge changed our world with his decision.

Anniversary of the UN vote on Resolution 181

Today is the anniversary of the UN vote on resolution 181, which approved the partition of the western part Palestine into a predominately Jewish state and a predominately Arab state. (It is vital to recall that the UN partition plan referred to western Palestine, to underscore that in 1921 the eastern part was ripped off the Jewish National Home by the British Government and handed over to the then Emir Abdullah.)

The partition plan was approved by 33 to 13, with 10 abstentions. The 33 countries that cast the “Yes” vote were: Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Byelorussia, Canada, Costa Rica, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Guatemala, Haiti, Iceland, Liberia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Sweden, Ukraine, Union of South Africa, USSR, USA, Uruguay, Venezuela. (Among other countries, the list includes the US, the three British Dominions, all the European countries except for Greece and the UK, but including all the Soviet-block countries.)

The 13 countries that chose the Hall of Shame and voted “No” were: Afghanistan, Cuba, Egypt, Greece, India, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, Yemen. (Ten of these are Moslem countries; Greece has the special distinction of being the only European country to have joined the Hall of Shame.)

The ten countries that abstained are: Argentina, Chile, China, Colombia, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Honduras, Mexico, United Kingdom, Yugoslavia.

On November 30, 1947, the day following the vote, the Palestinian Arabs murdered six Jews in a bus making its way to Jerusalem, and proceeded to murder another Jew in the Tel-Aviv - Jaffa area. This was a prelude to a war that claimed the lives of 6,000 Jews, or 1% of the total Jewish population in 1948. This toll is the per capita equivalent of today’s Canada losing 300,000 lives, or the US losing 3,000,000.

The object of the war, launched by the Arabs in the former Palestine and the armies of Egypt, Tansjordan, Syria and Lebanon (with help from other Arab countries), was to "throw the Jews into the sea".

As the partition map indicates, however, rather than annihilate the Jewish population, the Arabs ended up with less territory than they would have gained by peaceful means. In addition to the bloodshed in nascent Israel, immediately after the UN vote, Arabs attacks their Jewish neighbours in a number of Arab countries, the murders in Syria’s Aleppo being the best known. Bruised and bleeding, Israel prevailed nonetheless. May our sister-democracy thrive and flourish.

Atheists sue to stop Christian mentoring...

Here’s another group Freedom From Religion Foundation trying to put a stop to something good. Here’s what the group has to say:

"First Amendment violations are accelerating," says the group's website. "The religious right is campaigning to raid the public till and advance religion at taxpayer expense, attacking our secular public schools, the rights of nonbelievers, and the Establishment Clause.

The group it is trying to stop is MentorKids USA.

Originally called Phoenix MatchPoint, the group changed its name last January to MentorKids USA. It has a long and successful track record in mentoring children in trouble with the law, who have dysfunctional family backgrounds, have been physically or sexually abused or who are involved with drug or alcohol abuse. To date, MentorKids USA has helped over 500 kids.

As always here is a group that is helping young kids, and some so called 'protect the 1st amendment' group is trying its best to do away with it. Could it Jealousy since it is such a success??

Fortunately the Supreme Court sees it another way:

William Rehnquist, current chief justice of the United States Supreme Court, says this view put forth by the Freedom From Religion Foundation, the ACLU and similar groups is a fiction and mockery of the true meaning of the First Amendment.

As always somewhere in a story like this the ACLU always seems to surface.

This is just another reason as to why I am on a mission to rid us of the ACLU. I am only one voice, but with your help, we can make it happen. Happy Thanksgiving...

From me to you. Here's hoping you and your family have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

Here's a couple of things I am thankful for:

My family has a strong faith and belief in God.
My family is blessed with good health.
I am married to a wonderful woman, who creates an environment in our home that always makes it nice to come home too.
My oldest son has a goal and is willing to work for it.
My youngest son has a passion for reading and is always looking forward to the next day.
My daughter is keeping me young at heart by bringing sunshine and a smile everyday into my life.

My list could go on and on. The Lord has blessed our family in so many ways.

It is nice to feel almost normal again. I have been doing some reading over the past several days about, the ACLU, Boy Scouts, Constitution, Pentagon, etc. I have been wanting to see how everyone was responding to the ACLU's assault against the Boy Scouts. To my surprise there have been a couple of groups that have popped up my radar that are out to run the ACLU out of town. My purpose of this post is to let you know what my belief in the whole matter is and to try and convince you to do something about it, if you feel the same way.

The ACLU is one of the groups that is responsible for the moral decay of our country. Fortunately for us, I think the American People (most anyway) are beginning to wake up from the 40 year sleep it has been in. Remember Rip Van Winkle? The ACLU has been on a mission to take away what is so important to so many Americans, and we have stood by and let them do it. They claim they are looking out for our constitutional rights, but they are manipulating our rights, not looking out for them.

For decades now, the ACLU has worked to undercut the impact and influence of religious faith in American life.
Although they declare themselves defenders of tolerance - and cloak themselves in the Constitution, whose Bill of Rights forbids any law prohibiting the free exercise of religion - the ACLU, in fact, actively promotes intolerance when it comes to religion.
Among the "free exercises" the group opposes and would outlaw if they could:

The public singing of "Silent Night" and other Christmas carols.
Displays of nativity scenes, crosses, and other Christian symbols on public property.
The posting of the Ten Commandments in classrooms or courtrooms.
The words "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance and "In God We Trust" on U.S. coins.
Chaplains in prisons and the military.
Prayer in classrooms, locker rooms, sports arenas, legislative assemblies, and at graduation exercises.
Census questions regarding an individual's religious affiliation.
Accreditation for science departments at Bible-believing Christian universities.
Voucher programs and tuition tax credits.
Public funding for Christian schools.
"Blue law" statutes.
Voluntary Bible reading in public schools ... even during free time or after classes.
Tax-exempt status for churches (though the ACLU favors this status for certain occult groups - and themselves).

In Mississippi, the organization secured a court order against student-led prayer in public schools -while in New Jersey they won a ruling banning any official prayer by any individual at any public high school graduation.
In Idaho, the ACLU had restrictions on abortion funding declared unconstitutional ... and in Virginia, defeated a bill requiring teens to notify their parents before getting an abortion.In fact, nationwide, the ACLU claims to "do more litigation" in support of abortion than any other organization in the country.
The ACLU also claims major credit for the U.S. Supreme Court decision to strike down the Communications Decency Act, which would have restricted the display and availability of pornographic materials on the Internet.

New Header...

I've been doing some reading since I heard about the ACLU's plight to hurt the Boy Scouts. You might not think that is not so, well believe it. It makes me totally furious not only at the ACLU, but the Judge that did not throw it back in there face. Anyway this is what my next post will be about, and I think I can come up with a good argument.

'Almost' Religious holidays in the State of Alabama...

I still not quite 100%, but I figured I would muster up enough strength to write this post. I actually got the idea after reading the post, Alabama? Noooo, of course...not... on Chases blog 'Wide Awake: Notes On Life' .
I'm an Alabama boy myself, born and raised, lived there all my life until 1995, then I moved to Iowa.
Before I moved to Iowa, I lived in a small rural town about 40 minutes west of Tuscaloosa. Chases post reminded me of a couple of days in the state, that are 'Almost' Religious.

First: The Opening day of deer season. I can remember well, when opening day was approaching, camouflage was the 'in' color. Unfortunately I wasn't a deer hunter, (I took up golf instead), and was the overwhelming minority during this time. I would listen to deer hunting stories for hours, before the season approached, and the closer it got, the taller the tales. It is something I miss. I miss seeing those four-wheelers covered in red clay, a bunch of guys gathered at the kwik stop, with a deer in the back of the truck, talking about exactly how he was able to bag the trophy buck. So Chase your post on, ogling a gun in a church parking lot, is not surprising to me. In fact deer hunting was one of the topics of conversation before church was in session.

Second: Now this second 'Almost' religious holiday means more to me than any deer hunting story, the holiday has some deep roots in me. I am referring to the matchup once a year of the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Auburn Tigers. I have been watching Alabama football all my life. My very first memories of the Tide was when Scott Hunter and Johnny Musso played for the 'Bear'. I remember well that Scott Hunter could run the wishbone offense better that anyone around. The yearly matchup against Alabama and Auburn compares to no other rivalry in the nation. I know some will disagree, but I have been watching Big 10 football for 10 years and nothing is even close. Until you actually view the rivalry first hand inside the state, you cannot understand. It is one day, you can get a good parking spot at any Wal-Mart in the state. I remember back in my younger days, I was making a trip back home through Birmingham, unfortunately it was the day of the game. I was going down Highway 59, this was before 459 was built, that now takes you around Birmingham. Hwy 59 takes you through downtown. Other than a few travelers passing through the state, I was all alone on the road, it was truly amazing. My favorite memory of the Alabama and Auburn game was the Van Tiffin kick.

With six ticks left on the clock, Alabama's Van Tiffin put his leg into a 52-yard field goal. The football sailed over the crossbar on the Alabama end of the stadium.

What the caption failed to mention, is the prior play before, an Alabama receiver drug an Auburn defender halfway across the field to stop the clock with six seconds left. It also fails to mention this kick was against the wind. What a great feeling to see it clear the uprights. Alabama win 25-23.

Now I will say this. I think Auburn has the best team in the country. And if, that's a big if, if they beat Alabama on Saturday, deserve a shot a National Championship. Even though I would hate to hear it from my brother-in-law. I said earlier that they have the best team in country, not necessarily in the State of Alabama. I know it shows on paper that the Tide is outmanned, but don't count us out. If Pennington has the game of his life (he is definitely due) and our #1 rated defense in the country can keep the Tigers off the scoreboard, then we have a shot. When these teams meet up, you can throw the records out the window. And if you think the Auburn faithful are not taking this game seriously, then just ask them.

I have been to several of these games, and the intensity is unmatched. To be sitting in Bryant-Denny stadium as the Tide takes the field, with The Million Dollar Band, playing 'Hey Alabama' in the background, it will give you chills. At that point in time you hate everything that is orange and blue. Anyway, I could go on and on reminiscing, you would probably get bored before you finish the post, if you haven't gotten bored already. Thanks Chase for the post, it did bring back a few memories of 'Sweet Home Alabama'.

So if you need to do some early Christmas shopping this weekend and have the time to drive to the state of Alabama, you should be able to get front row parking. Not because your out early shopping, but because the 'Iron Bowl' has commenced.

Too sick to post...

Having a hard time getting up enough energy to post. It started Saturday around lunch and has gotten worse ever since. Stubborn me did not go to the Dr. until today. They cannot confirm yet, but believe the culprit is 'Strep Throat'. Maybe you won't catch it reading this post. Anyway since I have gotten some meds in me, I'm starting too feel better. The Weblog Review...

You know I am like anyone else who blogs. I want to provide good content, accurate information, and a point of view that will bring readers back to my blog. I am not out to make everyone happy, in fact there are some of the readers who do not like my points of view at all. That's ok, I am not trying to be a fence rider. I do not hide the fact that I am a 'Right' Leaning Christian Conservative. I just want to let readers know who I am and what I believe in.

I was out surfing one night and run across a website called The Weblog Review. You know there are bunches of sites out there that will put you in their blog world, but this was the first site I had found, that would look at your site and try to give you an unbias review of content and appearance. So when I found the site, I registered and put it in my favorites so I could come back later.

A couple of days ago I decided I was ready for someone to take a look at my blog and tell me how good or bad it is. Naturally I wanted to hear good things, but I am open to any and all suggestions. So I took the plunge, paypaled my five bucks and waited for a response. They guarantee, two reviews within five days. I recieved a confirmation e-mail and waited for the review to take place.

Well after waiting a couple of days, I got a notice today that my weblog had been reviewed by three reviewers.

The first reviewer was Wendy, she has a blog at twodolla.

Here is some of what she had to say:

"Tony is very adament in his point of view and comes across extremely confident and knowledgeable. He is very opinionated, and his writing shows this. However, Tony never fails to have his opinion backed up by facts that he's discovered through other websitse. This is what made Leaning Right News tolerable to someone who leans in the complete opposite direction. It's obviously not a weblog the majority of people will enjoy, simply because it's not a topic that the majority of people will even understand."

I liked the fact that she said that 'Leaning Right' was tolerable to someone who leans in the opposite direction. It made me feel good that she felt that way, even though I haven't seen very much of tolerence from a 'left' leaning reader. It was obvious when she started the review that she saws thing just the opposite of what I believe. I respect that she could put her feelings aside and review my blog. Wendy scored my blog a 4.5 out of 5. Talk about making a Conservative feel good. Thanks Wendy.

The second reviewer was ODAAT, he has a blog at odaat.co.uk

Here is some of what he had to say:

"Ok. Let’s lay my cards on the table and say that I don’t live in America and if I did I would be a Democrat. I don’t feel I need to defend my stance but it may colour my review. It has to be said though, that of the right wing blogs I have read, this is one of the better ones in terms of content."

I went out and looked at ODATTs blog. I have to say, from where he stands he could have really looked at my blog and give it a biased review. He did not, he gave a very fair and unbiased review.

I liked the fact that he thought my blogs was one of the better 'right-wing' blogs in terms of content. I know it is just one persons opinion, but I like the fact that I am giving my readers something that will add value.

Once again I respect the fact that ODATT could put his feelings aside as he reviewed my blog. ODATT gave my blog a rating of 4 our of 5. Thanks ODATT

The third and final reviewer was namelessblogger, he/she has a blog at iwishididnthaveaname

Here is some of what he/she (not sure) had to say:

"Tony Mc is getting the word out. He is blogging about his views and other online information that reflect his views or prove why the rest of the world should have his views. The problem is that an old brown sweater will always be an old brown sweater. Sure it's comfortable and we wear it all the time, but after awhile it just sort of blends in with all the other brown sweaters."

Naturally I did not like this review as much as the other two, but the reviewer I thought was fair, and pointed out a couple of thing for me to do, if I want to remain 'alive' in the political blogger world. So with the review that nameless blogger gave, I believe it will definately help me out in my blogging future. Namelessblogger give me a rating of 2.5 out of 5. Thanks namelessblogger.

So with all that said, I recommend The Weblog Review, if you are interested in having someone take a look at your blog and give it a fairly unbiased review.

I have just recently started reading the NY Times, since they are one of the 'Elite' media outlets. I am going to try and write about some of the 'Elite' writers warped point of view. So I hope you will enjoy.

Leaning Right: My first guest will be Mr. Frank Rich. I would like to ask you a few questions before we discuss your article.

Frank: As long as it is quick, I need to get back to my 'Big' office.

Leaning Right: OK we will make it quick. So Mr. Rich, I hear blue is your favorite color, is there any to truth to that?

Frank: You mean blue, as in red, white and blue or blue as in blue states blue? I'm still not sure I understand the question?

Leaning Right: Just the color blue. Is this your favorite color?

Frank: Blue devil blue or 'you make my brown eyes blue, blue?

Leaning Right: Skip it, let's go to the next question. I hear you and Bill O'Reilly don't like each other very much, is their any truth to that?

Frank: Was that blue as in 'blue suede shoes' blue or 'blue bayou' blue?

Leaning Right: Skip it, skip it, next question. Can you tell us why you did not like 'The Passion of the Christ'?

Frank: You know I like 'Blues clues blue' and I also like 'Blue, starts with the letter 'B' blue.

Leaning Right: OK, one last question. What do you think of the red states?

Frank: Them &*$###* sorry *&*%+**@, they can take their Moral Values and shove them &":??&*!. My IQ is higher than theirs, so I don't need there so called Christian Conservative stuff they can go %%&*># off a *&%$#&^ bridge for all I care.

Leaning Right: Whoa, slow down Frank. Now that I have you fired up, let's go back to the original question. Is your favorite color blue?

Frank: Is that blue as in 'Blue Whale' blue or Blue as in 'Blue Monday' blue.

Leaning Right: From the picture below, it looks like Red might be your favorite color.

Here is Franks last paragraph of the column. On 'Moral Values,' It's Blue in a Landslide.

"According to this argument, the values voters the Democrats must pander to are people like Cary and Tara Leslie, archetypal Ohio evangelical "Bush votes come to life" apotheosized by The Washington Post right after Election Day. The Leslies swear by "moral absolutes," support a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage and mostly watch Fox News. Mr. Leslie has also watched his income drop from $55,000 to $35,000 since 2001, forcing himself, his wife and his three young children into the ranks of what he calls the "working poor." Maybe by 2008 some Democrat will figure out how to persuade him that it might be a higher moral value to worry about the future of his own family than some gay family he hasn't even met."

He wrote a three page article, trying to explain the reasons why everything blue is right, how much he hates Bill O'Reilly, Fox News, the GOP, and he still doesn't get it. To him it all comes down to money. Was there ever any doubt? He just doesn't understand, it's not about the money. If it were about the money, Gore would have been re-elected in '04. Come'on Frank, leave the city once in a while. If you want to find out what it's all about, bring yourself down from your Ivory Tower and visit the little people in the country every now and then.
Read the article and you will see for yourself, that he is still confused, just like most of the 'Media Elite'.

Leaning Right Alert: Sounding like a Reporter...Due to some new information the following post has been updated. I will keep you updated as the situation progresses. Sounding like a reporter again...This has been a Leaning Right Alert.

Controlling emotions when your getting attacked is sometimes hard to do. One thing I said I would not do when I started this blog, was let my emotions get the best of me, no matter how cruel and hateful the comments. Well what can I say, it happened. I am really a pretty level headed guy. I am usually open minded and I'm always open to a good debate. Don't get me wrong, being open minded doesn't mean I won't argue. In fact sometimes I'm an 'Oak'. I will continue to be passionate about my stance, but from now own I will try hold my emotions in check when dealing with someone who thinks I am racist or an idiot. Remember I said I will try. O.K. enough about my sins. Lets get to the news. Has anyone ever heard of Kathleen Parker?
Yesterday I picked up the local paper and on the inside of the front page was a commentary by Kathleen Parker entitled 'Who you callin' 'ordinary'? This is her democratic post-election syndrome analysis. I think she hit the nail on the head. According to Zito Joseph, a retired psychiatrist, (Wonder if he tells his Bush supporter patients this?) I'm an "obtuse," "short-sighted," "redneck," "shoot-from-the-hip" religious literalist. Wow I'm honored. I never knew I had some many names. I'm sure after reading this, someone will give me a few more. Anyway click the link and read the commentary, I think you will enjoy.

Does anyone like Ann Coulter? I think she is great. I would not want to get into a debate with her. She would make me look like an "obtuse," "short-sighted," "redneck," "shoot-from-the-hip" religious literalist, dummy. I added dummy, my name just keeps getting longer. Anyway her latest commentary entitled 'Olbermann can 'countdown,' but can he count up?' Here is part of it:

"In a major report on "Countdown With Keith Olbermann" last Monday, Olbermann revealed that Bush's win in Florida – and thus the election – was "attributable largely to largely Democratic districts suddenly switching sides and all voting for Mr. Bush at the same time"! You know Keith Olbermann is heart-attack serious when he starts using "largely" twice in the same sentence.
Somberly reporting that "all this data here is from the office of Florida's secretary of state," Olbermann listed five Florida counties where the registrations are majority Democratic – and yet (!) the counties went for Bush.
A quick glance at the Congressional Almanac indicates that all five counties in Olbermann's conspiracy theory are in the Florida Panhandle, where most people have been registered as Democrats since their grandfathers registered them to vote shortly after the Civil War. This is in contrast to Broward and Dade Counties, where the vast majority of voters entered their party registrations when they moved to Florida from New York a few years ago.
As if anticipating Olbermann's idiotic conspiracy theory two years ago when he wrote the most recent almanac, Michael Barone specifically notes that these Panhandle counties – though still majority Democratic in party registrations – have been voting for Republicans for president for many years. This would include the 2000 presidential election when the three voting districts at the centerpiece of Olbermann's conspiracy theory voted for Bush by 69 percent, 66 percent and 57 percent. The only way Barone could have made this any clearer to the "Countdown" host would have been to begin the chapter, "Dear Keith Olbermann ..."

I am glad she don't read my blog, She would probably say, 'now Tony, you sound pretty smart and all, but only to your mother.' Read the column, you will love it.

Found this on WND: "How 9-11 commission covered up mass murder" . This is powerful stuff. I smell cover-up and so does Jack Cashill. Probably wouldn't surprise you to know Mr. Richard Clarke is involved. Hmm makes you wonder.

I nominate Howard to chair the DNC. Do I hear a second?

Could it be that this is a country of God-fearing, Bible-reading, SUV-driving and opposite sex-loving Americans? Whodathunkit?

Nice article written by Dr. Earl Tilford of Grove City College.

Here is an interesting observation by Dr. Tilford:

"Blinded by ideology, the extreme left, which unlike the extreme right occupies a much wider portion of its host political party, cannot see that most Americans believe marriage is a relationship between one man and one woman, abortion, especially in the third trimester, is reprehensible, and that U.S. national sovereignty should focus on America’s vital national security interests, not those of the United Nations, France or Germany."

Bravo Dr. Tilford. For some reason they just don't get it. The extreme left will never get it, but you can guarantee that the leaders of the Democratic party get it. It is going to be interesting to see things unfold for the next four years. If there is anything that the Dems do well and that is shift with the wind. The only thing is, this is Hurricane force winds, and if anything should rip off the surface, if not tear it off at the foundation.

Liberal Post-Election Mania...

I don't know if you have ever read any of David Limbaughs articles, but I am one who enjoys his prospective on things, especially politics. I was reading some of the articles on his site that are related to the 'Liberal Post-Election Mania'.
Some of the statements these writers make are asinine.
Here is a sample of a paragraph from one of the articles: Why Americans Hate Democrats—A Dialogue, By Jane Smiley

"Here is how ignorance works: First, they put the fear of God into you—if you don't believe in the literal word of the Bible, you will burn in hell. Of course, the literal word of the Bible is tremendously contradictory, and so you must abdicate all critical thinking, and accept a simple but logical system of belief that is dangerous to question. A corollary to this point is that they make sure you understand that Satan resides in the toils and snares of complex thought and so it is best not try it."

How does this woman make money writing?
First of all she seems to think that 'one' can change the Bible to suit their needs. Does she not understand that that is precisely what has been taking place in our culture. That is why everytime I pick up the paper I see someone, has been arrested or convicted for a variety of crimes. From Arson to Rape to Child Molestation. Then they will make excuses for them because of the way they were raised. "My point exactly." Believe me I am not trying not to make everyone believe the way I do, but for her to make a statement like that is absurd. How can she say it is contradictory, when she doesn't even know what it says.
Second, complex thought has nothing to do with where Satan resides. To Satan, the simplier the better. Satan is about deception, not trying to out-think you. He about temptation, lust, greed, etc. He is not only a liar, but the Father of Lies!!!
You need to read the whole thing to really see for yourself. Then you'll wonder "How does this woman make money?"

Here's another paragraph from another article. This one is about as bad as the first.

Give me a break lady. George W. got re-elected not because he tried to seperate the country, but because John Kerry was no leader. The American people saw through the talk and the rhetoric. For some reason 9/11 seems like a distant memory to some of these people. Wake up!!!

What's Kerry Hiding?

A message from President George W. Bush:
Tomorrow, Americans will choose who will lead our country during a time of war and economic opportunity. And the choice on Tuesday comes down to a few issues of great consequence. The first choice is the most important, because all our progress depends on our safety.
Since September the 11th, 2001, I have led a relentless campaign against the terrorists. We have strengthened homeland security. We removed terror regimes in Afghanistan and Iraq. We are on the offensive around the world, because the best way to prevent future attacks is to go after the enemy.
My opponent has a different view. Senator Kerry says September the 11th didn't change him much, and his policies make that clear. He says the war on terror is "primarily an intelligence and law enforcement operation." He has proposed what he calls a "global test" that would give foreign governments a veto over American security decisions. And when our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq needed funding for body armor and bullets, Senator Kerry voted against it.
The direction of the war on terror is at stake in the election of 2004. And when you go to the polls on Tuesday, remember this: I will do whatever it takes to defend America and prevail in the war on terror, and I will always support the men and women who do the fighting.
The second choice in this election concerns your family budget. As a candidate, I pledged to lower taxes for families, and I have kept my word. We doubled the child tax credit, reduced the marriage penalty, and dropped the lowest tax bracket to 10 percent. Now working families keep more of their paychecks, and America's economy is growing faster than any other among major industrialized nations.
My opponent voted against all our tax relief for working families. His votes would have squeezed about $2,000 more in taxes from the average middle-class family. Now Senator Kerry is promising to increase federal spending by more than $2.2 trillion. And to pay for all that new spending, he would have to raise taxes on American families. I will keep your taxes low because I know it's not the government's money, it's your family's money.
The third choice in this election involves your quality of life. As President, I signed historic education reforms to bring high standards to the classroom and make schools accountable to parents, and our children are making progress in reading and math. We've strengthened Medicare, created health savings accounts, and expanded community health centers to help more Americans get health care. I'm proposing a series of practical reforms to make health care more affordable and accessible by expanding health savings accounts, allowing association health plans, and protecting patients and doctors from junk and frivolous lawsuits.
My opponent has a different approach. Senator Kerry voted for the No Child Left Behind Act, but he has pledged to weaken the accountability standards. He's voted 10 times against medical liability reform. And now, he's proposing a big-government health care plan that would do nothing about rising health costs, and would cause millions of Americans to lose their private health insurance and end up on government programs.
Finally, this election presents a choice on the values that keep our families strong. I believe marriage is a sacred commitment, and I will always defend it. I will continue to appoint judges who strictly interpret the law. And I will keep working to move this good-hearted nation toward a culture of life.
On these issues, my opponent and I are miles apart. Senator Kerry was part of an out-of-the-mainstream minority that voted against the Defense of Marriage Act. He believes there ought to be a liberal litmus test for judicial appointments. He voted against banning the brutal practice of partial birth abortion. I believe that reasonable people can find common ground on difficult issues, and I will continue reaching out and bringing Americans together to protect our deepest-held values.
All of these choices make this one of the most important elections in our history. These past four years, you have seen how I do my job. Even when you might not agree with me, you know where I stand, what I believe, and what I intend to do. Soon, the decision will be in your hands. And however you decide, I urge you to get out and vote on Tuesday.

The True meaning of Appeasement:

"Senator Kerry is committed to the notion that terrorism can be contained by multi-lateral police actions. When he suggested that terrorism could be reduced to a nuisance level like gambling, organized crime, and prostitution he meant it. It sounded so dreadful that his allies in the media accused the Bush campaign of mischaracterizing what Kerry meant. Maybe so, but even if you don't believe he was equating terrorism with prostitution, it was a window into how he believes terrorism should be dealt with. What Senator Kerry is talking about is nothing short of appeasement. He believes, as do many of his supporters here and abroad, that if President Bush would just have stopped the war on terror after cleaning the Taliban out of Afghanistan, and focused all the nation's attention on finding Osama bin Laden all would be well. The French and the Germans certainly agree with him. They wanted to appease Saddam -- if he had remained in power they would STILL be appeasing Saddam -- by allowing the sanctions against him to lapse so they could land a desert-ful of the Iraqi oil action. So what if Saddam had developed the technology to build weapons of mass destruction and had allowed those weapons to be delivered by al-Qa'ida. It's a tough world out there. If al-Qa'ida bombs some trains in Madrid, so be it, it was Spain's fault for providing troops. If the Spanish had appeased al-Qa'ida like the leaders of Old Europe did, they would have been spared, too. Kerry truly believes that the only allies who matter are the French and the Germans. ... The French and German governments, for their part, have publicly stated that Kerry is on some form of medication if he believes they intend to provide troops to do anything other than strut around Western Europe looking impressive to, and impressively at, each other while they sit safely within their own borders. The tape that Osama bin Laden released the other day was specifically designed to play into Kerry's belief system: Stop attacking us and we will stop attacking you. Appease us and you will be safe. Decades ago the Saudis tried appeasement by making a pact with the devil -- the bad guys could operate FROM Saudi Arabia so long as they didn't operate IN Saudi Arabia. The Saudis have learned what history always teaches us: Those whom you would attempt to appease, don't stay appeased. As the old saying goes: You can rent peace through appeasement, but you can't buy it. And, if that's not an old saying, it should be." --Rich Galen

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

You know I've been thinking about this for the past few days. I am still amazed at all the rhetoric that is going on in the media. We have Osama trying to be an influence on the election, weapons that were suppose to be missing at the beginning of the week, but the story changed at the end of the week. I don't know about you, but I will be glad when all of this is over and George Bush can go about his business making America a safer and better place for all Americans. I went out and made phone calls for the campaign today, luckily most everyone who was supporting Kerry or anti-Bush was fairly civil. I did have a few people that just hung up on me before I could finish talking. Nobody called me any names either, unlike some of the comments I have received on my posts, more on that later. I did talk to a few people who were quiet pleasant and were appreciative of my calling. Most of the Kerry supporters seemed to have a cloud hanging over them, or at least it seemed that way, except for one lady, she was quiet nice. It could have been that they just dislike Bush that much. One thing I always try to do is brighten someones day even if I don't agree with them. I have receive several calls from both campaigns and I am always appreciative of what these people are doing. After today it takes on a whole new meaning. While I only made about 40 calls my wife (who it the talker in the family) made over 200. After 40 I'd had enough. I can't imagine doing that for a living. I met a wonderful lady who was making phone calls with me and helped me get started with some of her tips. She was with a group from Texas who had traveled to Iowa to try and get the message to people. Her name was Carol and within a couple of hours I felt like I had known her all my life. She was a true patriot and Republican. I would like to thank her personally here in my post for her hospitality and the sunshine she brought to my day. Thank You Carol, maybe one day we will meet again, It would be a pleasure.

As I was reading the preamble to the Constitution, one phase caught my attention, 'insure domestic Tranquility... To me that means that our government works to ensure that we have an Country where Americans always try to get along, even it they don't agree with one another. For the most part we do. But with the rhetoric that the 'Left' slings it is getting harder and harder to do. I know what most 'Liberals' are going to say when they read this, well what about the 'Right? I say "we are just trying to defend our rights, freedom and way of life'. Lets compare the two.

George Bush is for preserving the right to life, Kerry is not. (See for yourself)
George Bush stood by his decision to go to War and has never wavered. Kerry voted for the War, but after pressure from his Liberal friends he criticizes it.
George Bush is for cutting taxes. According to his record, Kerry is not.
To George Bush marriage is between a man and a woman. Kerry will go forward with making sure it will not always be that way.
George Bush believes his most important job is to defend America (Remember 9/11), Kerry will put the power to defend America in the hands of other countries.

My point is we know what George Bush stands for, nobody knows for sure what Kerry stands for. He's like a flavor of the month. Whatever his 'Liberal' friends want to do today, that's the position Mr. Kerry will take. One word describes John Kerry. 'Appeaser'. On both the domestic front and in the international community. Read about WWII and you will see what Appeasement gets you, more of the same. The enemy takes and takes, until they get what they want. If you haven't watched 'Stolen Honor' I suggest you do so. I will show you the true character of John Kerry. I can't believe he wasn't court-martialed.

Here's my favorite 'Quote of the Week'.

"There's a reason that They're saying Kerry is the No. 1 liberal in the Senate. It's because he is the No. 1 liberal in the Senate." This was made by none other that Mr. political propaganda himself, Michael Moore. If there is one person who takes advantage of the American people it is Mr. Moore. To me he is a traitor. I would not even acknowledge him if he knocked on my front door. He is evil, and the sad part is some people will buy into his junk. Please don't line Michael Moore's pockets with your hard earned money. If he had his way with running this country, English would already be a second language. Can you feel the love?!

I am still trying to finish reading Ann Coulters book, 'How to talk to a Liberal if you must.I have made it about halfway through the book. Just been to busy to pick it up lately. Once I am complete, I will post a review. Here is part of one of my favorite articles of the book, it was from her column written May 5, 2004. It is titled 'Even With Hindsight Liberals Can't See Straight'.

Liberals always claim to know exactly what to do as soon as it's too late. After Muslims attack with airplanes, they want to investigate flight schools. After Muslims attack with shoes bombs, they want to investigate shoes. After a Muslim introduces E. coli into New York's water supply, liberals will be enraged that Muslim immigrants taking pictures of New York water-treatment plants weren't investigated more aggressively-as soon as they are done blaming Bush for not stopping the attack. Liberals are the only know species whose powers of reasoning are not improved by the benefit of hindsight. Not only are they always fighting the last war, in most cases they're surrendering.

They say hindsight is 20/20, well according to Ann, the liberals are in the ballpark of let's say 20/10. That might be conservative.

Here's my favorite comment I have received so far. You can feel the love.

'Those sites are great for Americans who want to live in a navel gazing, propaganda vacuum. If you want to find out what is really going on outside of the great ignorance bubble none of those sites will edify. If you are a newly liberated racist who wants to hear the views of other myopic racists these sites will provide a welcome echo chamber and validation for your ignorant hatred.'

I think the part that gave it away to me that he isn't a Conservative was, 'If your a newly liberated racist who wants to hear the views of other myopic racists these sites will provide a welcome echo chamber and validation for your ignorant hatred.' I did not know what myopic meant, I had to look it up. I guess if linking to sites with Conservative views mean I am a myopic racist, then I guess I am one. All those well respected journalist and news reporters who publish the sites, must be myopic racists also. Let me assure everyone I am not a racist. I am an American who works hard for his family, pay taxes and believes in the preservation of our great nation. I am proud to be an American, and would proudly defend our country to the death. I believe in God, the sanctity of marriage, and the rights of the unborn child. I believe in Freedom and the rights of every American. I believe in domestic Tranquility, you don't have to agree with me, lets just live and get along.

Give someone a smile, you'll never know when you will need one in return.

Well it has been a busy day, but I need to respond to Anonymous before I lose my thoughts on what has been said.
Here is what Anonymous said:

"This is crazy. Fine your against Kerry. But why support a coward like Bush. He was AWOL most of his tour. And his family refused to let him fight. Now, he is the comander and chief. In regards to his leadership--he said the war was over--but it wasn't. Bush is no leader. Are you better off now, than you were with Clinton who, by the way, balanced the budget and created a huge surplus of money. Bush, though, has spent it all and put American in a huge debt. If Bush is re-elected, he will have to raise taxes or America will be in deep do do.

Let me see if I can respond in a way that might make you think of things different.

Bush was not AWOL, that is a court-martial offense. Please take the time to read the real truth of the Presidents record in the National Guard. Don't believe what you hear in the media (Dan Rather) or what comes out of Kerry's mouth.
You say Bush is no leader. Let me ask you a question, Do you remember 9/11/2001? I sure do and I will never forget it. Now I ask you what do you think his priorities should have been after the World Trade Towers were destroyed. To appease the Terrorist (and the UN) and try to be diplomatic, and allow it to happen again or take the fight to the fanatics. Do you know that the Terrorist would like to kill every American? If they have it their way, English will become a second language for our kids and grandkids. Bush did exactly what he needed to do. You can believe the Rhetoric about Iraq if you want, but it was either now or later. Saddam is Evil, not was, but is. Right now his Evil has been subdued and the whole world, not to mention the Iraqi people are better off. Sometimes you have to make descisions that are not popular. I can tell you right now that no matter what descision Bush makes, in the Liberals eyes he will be wrong.
I have seen Bush in person twice this year and I can guarantee you taxes will not be raised so long as he is President. You want higher taxes, then put Mr. Kerry in the Whitehouse. If a balanced budget is more important than not having a carbomb go off in Your neighborhood, then put Mr. Kerry in the Whitehouse. If you think it was Clinton that balanced the budget, then look at your tax statements from 1996-2000 and you will see who balanced the budget. You and Me.

Let me say this to anonymous before I go, that George W. Bush is the man to lead this Country for the next four years. He's not perfect, but he has the passion and the vision to make America Great!

Hey Emily! I agree, with what you say. It is so easy to blame the leader when the problems are happening, and getting amnesia when it comes to remembering the wonderful ways of past leadership. The Liberals teach this to anyone who will listen, the problem is less and less people are listening.

I am currently reading Ann Coulters new book, 'How to talk to a Liberal, if you must'. It is recommended reading. I will say this, don't read it if you don't want to hear the BOLD truth. Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful Right Day.

Another day, different tactics, or should I say the same old tactics for John Kerry. Wait a minute, was I right the first time or the second? Sound Familiar?
My favorite story of the day is the Nightline story. Can you actually believe the left media went halfway around the world to try and find someone to discredit the Swiftboat Vets. To beat it all they found the enemy. The enemy agrees with John Kerry. What a laugh. I hope he uses this in one of his speeches. "Oh yeah and by the way, the Viet Cong agrees with me." Well so does Jane Fonda, Michael Moore and Ted Kennedy. Give me a break. I just hope and pray that before election day the American people will see him for what he really is. As always I try read as much as possible each day about the upcoming election. It still amazes me that people who live in this country can take John Kerry seriously. Even his own party is jumping ship. What scares me, is that if he can bash Bush just right before the election, he just might pull it off. God help us all if he does.
I saw our great President this past Friday. He looks great.
